South Schuylkill Unified is calling on local artists, students, creators, families, businesses, and community groups of all ages to help create a character, mascot, creature, or visual symbol that captures the unique spirit of South Schuylkill! Here's everything you need to know about entering for your chance to win the $500 prize:
Contest Details & Guidelines
- Who Can Enter: Open to individuals, teams, and groups of all ages.
- What to Submit: An original design (hand-drawn or digital) featuring a proposed character, symbol, or visual concept, a name for your design, and a short statement explaining what it represents and why it fits the South Schuylkill region.
- Prize: $500, sponsored by an SSU Board member.
- Important Rule: All designs must be original. AI-generated artwork is strictly prohibited
Key Dates & Timeline
- Submission Deadline: Monday, November 2, 2026.
- Design Committee Review: November 9, 2026. All entrants will be contacted by November 11, 2026.
- Finalist Presentations: Finalists will deliver a short in-person presentation to the SSU Board on November 19, 2026, when the Board will vote on the winner.
