Ringtown Area Library offers the complete small town library experience for citizens and neighbors in Ringtown, PA. This small but active library offers a variety of services to visitors and acts as a community hub under the care of the wonderfully kind and supportive librarians.

Library Rundown

Activities: The library maintains a full schedule of events with everything from story times, summer programs, and homeschools meet-ups to puzzle races, book sales, book clubs, and community celebrations. You can find a list of offerings on their Programs page and Facebook events.

  • A well-curated and updated collection of books, audio, magazines, and movies available for borrowing
  • Computer and internet access
  • Print services
  • 3D printing
  • Creative space for kids
  • Pretend play area for kids
  • Puzzles

Obtain a Library Card: Any resident of Schuylkill County is eligible to receive a library card at no charge with proper identification (photo ID and proof of address.) For children under age 14, application must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. The library participates in the Access PA Statewide library card program and will honor valid cards from other Pennsylvania libraries with a blue AccessPA sticker plus proper identification.


Loan Periods: 

  • Books & Audio - 3 weeks, 2 renewals (if not on hold for another patron)
  • DVD movies - 1 week, 2 renewals
  • Magazines - 1 week, 2 renewals
  • Effective October 2020 - Checked out materials AUTOMATICALLY RENEW on the due date if not returned, unless on Hold for a patron.
  • Patrons can still renew library materials in person at the library, by telephone during regular library hours or online self-renewal through the catalog link.

Inter-library Loan: If we don't have the materials you need, we will attempt to borrow them from another library for your use. New materials (published within the past 6 months) and DVD & video materials are generally not available through inter-library loan. Inter-library loan delivery may take several weeks depending upon availability.
